Fall 2018 Trip to Utah: The End

Oh my goodness, I missed my kids more than I expected.  Fisher got to hang with my parents the whole time and they all really enjoyed themselves.  The other kids were divided the older three spent a couple days with Ethan's parents while the younger set were with mine and then they all switched.  It was a nice way for the kids to get some quality, fun time with their grandparents.  They ended the week with my parents picking us up at the airport while Ethan's parents took the kids to see their cousin Gracie in Seussical The Musical!

The next day we just got ready for our big return to Japan.  We were hopeful that we would be able to get on board the Space A flight that wouldn't cost us a fortune.  But even with those hopes, we were sure going to hate saying goodbye...

We had to break into the Trader Joe's treats in order to pack up the rest of our stuff.  Everyone liked the peppermint Joe-Joe's.

Eliza was happy with her new bird whistle.

I finished this baby quilt just in time to leave it at Grandma Jane's for Erin's sweet baby Lyla.  I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

We flew in to Seattle and went to the USO... we got to grab some food at least, but it was a FULL house!  We found a nice piece of floor in the hallway to rest.

We were so thankful, beyond grateful that we were all able to get on the rotator back to Japan!  We had a stop in Anchorage for a few hours, but it was so easy!  And we were so happy to land right on our base and be able to head home and try to catch up on some much needed rest!  It was a fantastic trip!  We have the best families, its always such a treat to be able to spend some time with them.

Loved having the kids while mom and dad went to San Antonio. Fisher was wonderful. We had so much fun with all of your special kids. Very thankful that you caught that plane. Much love Mom
